Welcome to Tana Coffee Company. We are a small, independent, family owned business importing the highest grade green coffee beans from our family in Ethiopia. We roast the beans locally in small batches to provide you the freshest possible specialty coffee drinking experience. Single-Origin
Because Tana Coffee is sourced directly from our family who grow and produce the highest quality coffee in the fertile West Guji region of Ethiopia, our coffee has full traceability throughout the entire supply chain.
Sustainability
Our cousin, Mulugeta has been planting trees for over 6 years as part of a shade management program. There is currently approximately 25% shade cover on his farm land.
Specialty Coffee Association Scores
Our Ethiopian Grade 1 Guji Natural Coffee has received scores of 86.5, 87 and 88 from SCA certified Q-graders in Ethiopia and the US, putting Tana Coffee in the high-end of the coveted 'specialty coffee' classification.
Process
Tana Coffee Grade 1 Guji Natural is produced using the traditional technique of sun-drying the whole, ripe coffee cherries on raised beds under shade cloth. The resulting natural fermentation produces the prized fruity and floral characteristics that make enjoying Guji Natural a truly remarkable experience.
